I should be receiving mine tomorrow. I also recently bought a reissue Dyna Comp. Maybe not the "best" around, but I will post a comparison this weekend, Monday at the latest.

Had a chance to play with the Super Comp Saturday. First I must start by saying I am not a seasoned Compressor user, so I'm sure there are others out there who could get more out of it, but here I go.
For my purposes, I am using the pedal to boost the level of my Tele to match my humbuckered guitars. I also wanted a little compression to get that classic "Tele" sound. Turning the ATTACK control all the way up, the OUTPUT to about 1:30 and SENSITIVITY to about 9:00 resulted in a slightly compressed sound with no noticeable loss in dynamics or "squashing" I've read about. Playing clean resulted in the sounds I was looking for. Having the effect on and kicking in my overdrive or distortion effects had less than desireable results. I have noticed that running any effect that is not true bypass, or is on, before my Menatone Blue Collar really screws with my distortion sounds though, so it could be the BC. Not too detailed, but there you go. I will be experimenting more this week and may add to my comments later. I am curious to know what others think about this pedal. I would love to buy an Oxygen or Keeley, but cannot justify the cost for an effect I will only be using 20% of the time. For $80.00 this pedal could do the trick, and is true bypass. As they say- YMMV |
