Some observations on a pedal to help you in your effect journey. Just bought a Little Big Muff. Never really played any Big Muff's before...setup was a Tele thru a Hot Rod dlx. After hearing from many forumites and people from other forums as well, i decided to give this a try. It definitely added lows to the sound(there is some definite bass in this pedal.) Sustain for days, real easy to get some legato licks in there. I didn't really find the tone knob useful...always kept it at 12 o'clock, maybe 1(still a ton of lows for me). When it comes down to it, I think it does it's thing well. When I hear the effect in other songs(Pink Floyd, Robert Fripp), I think it duplicates its original. For the money, it's a sweet Muff. Only issue for me was I play in a full band with two guitarists and this thing does not fit in the mix(not enough mid content). If you are the only guitarist in the band, playing nineties grunge, or needing fx for recording purposes, by all means get one. But I think if you need to cut thru the mix, find something else. The end.
