Hi, I just acquired a Hao Rumble Mod OD pedal and like it quite a bit (I've been using a Barber Direct Drive recently). I'd appreciate your input re how to set up the pedal for clear, yet punchy blues-lead tone. I mostly play blues and blues-rock w/ Les Pauls and 335 thru old Fender Deluxe and Princeton Reverbs run at about "4" on the volume control. I don't care for a compressed sound, and it appears the "tone" or "color" control adds more and more compression as it is turned counter-clockwise...So, I've been setting been setting the "color" control at about 10 o'clock, the volume at 9PM and the gain at about 2PM...Thanks for your input.

First off, are you using the boost or OD toggle setting?
a good OD setting I found for blues was:

Toggle (drive)
color (11-12 O Clock)
Gain (1 O Clock)

Tweak the color knob to your liking, because as you porbably noticed, it's very sensitive. Way too treblish under 9 O Clock, IMHO.
