Alfonso sent me his prototype Mosferatu to test. It was so good, I refused to send it back! Whether a clean boost, overdrive or distortion, the pedal sounds natural, phat and hot! This sounds as good as my Barber Direct Drive SS.
I just got one today.....holy crap...im not kidding...what a great sounding overdrive...smooth singing distortion...very clean sounding...VERY Robben Ford but lots more..even at low volumes it sounds on the verge of feedback...like a cranked amp...i am totally blown away by this pedal...if anyone has any questions they can email me...im very excited about this one...knocked my socks off...and Alfonso is one heck of a cool guy...definately one to look out for
Hey Turtle you still playing your DDSS? I was wondering about what others think since it has kind of dropped off the map. There really does seem to be a flavor of the month kind of thing here. Anyway, I ask because I'm not getting along with mine at all these days. Did the lowered gain mod, and tried different op-amps(it probably sounds best stock BTW), and I can't coax the sound in my head out of it.
i tried one othe the mosferatus on the HC tour box and loved it. I almost bought one, but have too many dirt boxes already. I'll probably get one eventually anyways, but i got to get rid of some stuff

I just ordered his Mosferatu M2.From what reviews I read on the MOS it's supposed to be an awesome pedal. It can go from an alomost clean boost with some fattening compression, to a real heavy singing ovedrive, and be dialed in to retain clarity in the notes. The sound clips I've heard on his website seen to support what I've already read about the pedal.
