I see lots of talk about the fulldrive, but very little about the Distortion pro. It looks like a pretty versatile pedal. How does it sound?
(If I got one, I'd be running it in combo with a Barber LTD).

The Distortion Pro is IMO the best of its own, without contest. I've use it in many different configurations and it was very efficient in any situation (bedroom, studio work, live)... You can get a lot of different kind of sounds using the 4 little knobs. From Fender cranked amps to Vox via Marshall sounds...Difficult to explain a sound but it's always warm and a pleasure to plug it on...
I really have to disagree here. There is the Barber DDSS and the Tonebone pedals that give the DP-1 a serious run for the money. The DP was OK, but the Hot British tears it apart for high gain, and the DDSS wins for versatility. I have extensive experience with all 3, and I played the Classic Tonebone in the store, which has plenty of gain too. So depending on what you're going for, the DP is a good purchase if you get it used, but it is certainly not worth the new price IMO.
I had it. Decided I didn't like it. Well, I did, but not for the price. I'd look elsewhere to be honest. Maxon makes great pedals. If you want a fuzzy type drive look at the EHX Double Muff. I like it more than the Big Muff.
