Has anyone had a chance to compare the BBD and Zdrive? I have a Zdrive on order but when listening to the BBD it sounds very similar. Any opinions?

the clips do sound similar, I have a zen on my board, and a BBD in the mail, I will update.

Did you get the BBD yet?

Had a Zendrive and own a Blue Boy (original). The BB kills. IMO, the Zen didn't. The BB is way more versatile and the controls are common-sense/predictable. The Zen controls are rather unintuitive, and so interactive that it was a pain to dial in the tones I wanted.

Also, the BB can be a mid-based screamer or a full-spectrum OD/distortion that keeps your tonal range intact. The Zen is middy and I couldn't tame those mids when I wanted to.

Lastly, the BB has a socketed IC, so swap 'em out til you get what you want. I have a TL072 in there that kills.

Looking at the prices for both pedals (particularly used prices), it's an absolute no-brainer IMO.
