I have a very simple pedalboard with a Barber Tone Press > Barber Direct Drive > Barber Direct Drive SS > BOSS TR-2 > Ernie Ball Volume Pedal. That chain hits the front end of late 90's Budda Twinmaster 212. I also have an old BOSS RV-3 reverb/delay that lives in the loop. The other stereo out feeds the effects return of a handwired Budda Superdrive 118-112 combo.
I spread them a few feet apart and it's just SICK!! I mostly use a '96 Anderson Hollow Classic and a Fender Custom Shop Relic Nocaster converted into an Esquire with a Kinman Vintage Broadcaster bridge pickup and a Chandler Tone-X wah/tone booster. I can get everything from an early Beck to Hellecasters to Eric Johnson-esque tone...(but not the chops quite yet sadly...) The Barber pedals are the most amplike I have every played. They are for players. The Tone Press compressor feeding the Direct Drives (I just have one set for light overdrive and one for more aggressive tones) is instant, pure tone. Just wanted to praise the company that restored (actually first inspired) my faith in the good ole stompbox. As always, Rock On Buddaman This message has been edited. Last edited by: Buddaman, |
