Well Michael, not sure I can answer if it's for you, but here's a little info on it.
According to the Fulltone site, this is the same circuit as in the fullsize Deja Vibe. To me, the mini is more transparent. The gold Deja seemed to darken the tone a fair bit, even in Modern mode. The mini doesn't seem to have that issue. I definitely prefer it over the original Deja.
i have a creme one...just a lil bit bigger than the cs silver one. ( i think the creme one is housed in a FD2 box, they appear to be the same size) it sounds fu**ing AWESOME! thats all i can say. get one if you have the chance. i dont think there are any tonal differences between the creme one and the lil silver one...same guts says mike.
would you rather go to new york, or by bus?

Bluesy! I was today doing a serious A/B between my FoxRox Provibe and my '98 Deja Vibe, in preparation of selling the Deja. And now I can't sell it, because it sounded REALLY good. The Provibe gives a slightly more focussed and clear sound--glassier by comparison, while the Deja has more edge and is (to use Guitar Player's word) more swampy. I have adjusted the internal trim pot for my own perfect wobble. You can get nice ones all the time on Ebay--mine is the second generation version with the bright/dark toggle. But maybe you have limited pedalboard space?
