Its pretty much the best pedal tuner out there, I think...I need to buy it. I'm not sure, but I don't think any tuners can be true bypass.
Ibanez Artcore AM73T -> Johnson Pedal tuner -> TS-9 Tubescreamer (true bypass, 808, brown mods)-> "Death Drive" distortion-> Fulltone 70 -> Boss CH-1-> Akai Intelliphase-> Visual Sound H2O-> Vox V847 Wah-> Fender Hot Rod Deluxe |

Personally, I'd check out the Korg GT-10 (I think that's the correct model number). Regardless, it's the new silver stomp-box model. The Boss has an accuracy of +/- 3 cent, and the Korg has a factor of +/- 1. Korg's rackmount tuners are the industry standard of rackmount gear and with high-end tuners such as this, they carry over much of the same technology. It doesn't power other pedals like the TU-2, but with an add-on daisy chain such as what comes with Godlyke Poweralls and what you buy extra for the One-Spot, you can power up all the pedals you need.
On a related note, for the cost of an Ernie Ball Jr. volume pedal and a $40 Korg or Boss tuner, you can keep the tuner out of your signal path, and suddenly have a volume pedal to place prior to your drive effects. Roll back on the volume a bit and it cleans up your distortion/overdrive immensely. You get a useful pedal that's in your signal chain, and didn't just spend $100 on a tuner alone. Taylor 614ce Ernie Ball Jr. Vol with tuner out to Korg GT-3>Keeley Compressor>Line 6 MM4>Line 6 DL4>all George L's cables>homemade pedalboard>optional custom made A/B pedal |
