The AG works well with a Marshall JCM 600 combo, giving a nice bite to the clean channel, while retaining this valve amp's tone. It has a only small range, from clean boost to low gain, but within these limits is quite usable. Gives a tranny practice amp some oomph, too. However, it sounds hard and toneless through a Sovtek Mig 50 head. Can anyone suggest an alternative, Barber LTD parhaps?
