I own two of the Sweet Sound Electronics Ultra Vibes, the first one is an older unit and doesn't have the jack for the external speed control pedal. Both units are built rock solid. What is really cool is that the LED flashes to the speed that is set and the speed know is located on the lower left corner, so you can adjust the speed with your size 13 gunboats while your sonically destroying your audience. My second unit I purchased used and it works great, the only weird problem I have had is if I run my signal into a VHT Valvulator 1 and then into the UltaVibe, when doing this the UltaVibe sounds like it puts a little distortion on the note being played. I contacted Bob Sweet and we had a few emails go back and forth. There was nothing els that could be found wrong with the unit. When I took the VHT out of the circuit the thing sounds unbelieveable!

I own the follwing vibe/rotating speaker emulators:

2 Sweet Sound Ultra Vibe
2 Voodoo Lab MicroVibe
Fulltone Deja Vibe
Prescription Electronics Vibe Unit (older model with swirl paintjob)
Korg Tone Works G4
Digitech RPM-1
Hughes & Kettner Rotosphere
Dunlop UniVibe
Dunlop RotoVibe
and a bunch of rack mount digital processors...

and I can easliy say the Sweet Sound Ultra Vibes are the best sounding vibes, par none. I would not hesitate to buy another if I needed another one. Bob Sweet has been great to deal with and his products build quality is equal to Fulltone's.

Of note, it seems that people need to put the above listed processors into one of two categories. Either it falls into a rotary speaker emulator or a vibe. I notice that the vibes have a little more phase ( or drunk note) to them and the rotary speaker emulators to have more sonic spread to them. The Korg and the Digitech offer multi output options, the Digitech gives you Left Roter, Right Rotor and Drum. Both give you mic placement adjustments. But for guitar playing live I find a mono output to be the best, and it comes accross the PA the best, no phase cancelation or comb filtering bullshit to deal with, especailly if the keyboardist is using one also.
