Edwards Japan E-LP-85SD Les Paul

Information about this item can be found at the manufacturer’s website: http://www.espguitars.co.jp/edwards/index.html.

I purchased this imported Honeyburst Edwards Les Paul new from Ishibashi Japan in May 2006. I am a hobbyist, so it has never left my smoke free home. It has been lightly used. I can’t even see any pick or buckle rash. The only marks I could find were two small chips in the headstock (pictured). Fretwear is minimal.

The guitar has a long neck tenon, mahogany neck and back (the neck is 1 piece, and as near as I can tell so is the back - if it isn’t, the pieces are incredibly well matched), the cap is maple and it is thick (a good 1/4" at least) with a flame veneer on top, and the hardware is Gotoh.

The guitar is extraordinarily well set up with no fret buzz, the fretwork is top-notch, the neck is straight, and it plays like a dream. I haven’t weighed it, but I would take a wild stab at 8 lbs. Padded gigbag is included.

I installed upgrades totaling about $280: 1) some nice speed knobs, 2) Gotoh Kluson style locking tuners, 3) orange drop caps, and 4) new nickel covered pickups (Seymour Duncan "Jazz" neck, Rio Grande "BBQ" bridge).

Cost on this guitar was $750, shipping was $125 from Japan, plus the $280 in upgrades, so the total value is $1,155. I’m asking $750 shipped.

Terms, Conditions, etc: This will ship to the Continental U.S. only via UPS ground. I will not ship elsewhere, so please don’t ask. I will accept PayPal, cashier’s check, or money order (I prefer PayPal). Not accepting trade offers - cash only please.

Thanks for looking,
V

What's the neck like. I'm looking for the slim 60's style neck.

Hi Bob, I'm afraid I'm not enough of a Les Paul fan to identify the neck by decade. Just to describe it: it feels very similar to a modern strat neck, only slightly thicker.
