Love these little boxes. But this config probably wont last long. Neo and McBoost, two of my other MXR sized effects, aren't in this pic because they aren't going to be needed for my next gig. Also I regularly cycle between the Square Face, McFuzz, and London Fuzz. And a Tremulator swaps places with the Tremodillo. This is a particularly earthy and organic sounding collection of pedals.

Speaking of small Hammond boxes, does anyone "rebox" pedals? I think I've seen a few threads around here suggesting that some guys on here can do that.
I've got a Nobels ODR-1 I'd love to drop into a Hammond Box (large or small) to bomb-proof it a bit more. I know they are cheap and could be replaced pretty easily but I'd still like to rebox the ugly little thing.
I would love to re-box a few pedals. Both the McFuzz and the London Fuzz would easily fit into an MXR box. The London is just nuts. It is cavernous on the inside, and has the teeniest little circuit board. Might have to switch to smaller pots. Speaking of which, do you drill holes for pots and jacks, or do you have a special punch type of tool?

Here are the drill bit sizes I use, along with the lock washers.
I use a small bit for pilot holes, unsure of the exact size.
1/4" for LED's
9/32" for pots, 5/16" washers will work here if that's all you can find.
3/8" for jacks, 3/8" washers as well
15/32" for stomp switches
9V adapter jacks are a tad larger than 15/32" if you can find a 1/2" drill bit that should work. I've been using a round file that's just the right size but it's not marked.
This was copied & pasted from another forum I frequent. I am quoting myself.
A lot of pedals can be reboxed. There are some that cannot due to large circuit boards or whatever. I was unable to rebox an Arion pedal for that reason. I'd say I could give it a shot for you but I no longer have the time necessary for that sort of thing. My current "day job" keeps me busy for two or three days at a stretch.
not sure if I'm allowed to mention it, but Josh "Fx Doctor" does a nice job of reboxing/reparing pedals, and he's nice to deal with and seems reasonably priced.

BLING BLING...
For me personally, there is a strange psychological factor with small box/Hammond type pedals. It just "seems" there is less to worry about or contend with that regular sized or larger pedals. Anybody else feel like this or am I full of ^@%#@???
Ooops, yeah the painted boxes up there are left to right:
Cusack Screamer - Hermida Mosferatu - Love Pedal Eternity - Stained Dove (SPDaves Magic Foot Soiled Dove)
Yes and Reboxing can be fun and useful too, if you have bonded with a Nobels or Arion or Ibanez 5 series etc... and want to 'Bar proof' it and true bypass it and put some better pots in to improve the noise floor.... Ive done a few cosmetic reboxes , but havent done 'surgery'(gut fixin ), tho that may change
I've got an Arion Phaser, a Nobels overdrive and a Marshall Guv'nor I'd love to rebox. Where does one find the boxes and pots and other supplies?

This may be a stupid question (although my grandpa used to say, "there are no stupid questions, only stupid askers"), but do you have to use some kind of special paint on those pedals? What do you use, and where do you get it?

HA, not a stupid question... uh yeah Ive spent the last couple years trying to develop some unique looks and tecniques and I may start selling painted boxes soon if there is interest.... but you wont find most of this stuff at Home Depot ...look at your local craft store for starters and let your imagination run wild and make lots of mistakes....
