(FYI) It will work on any Strat type guitar but all three p'ups need to be the same polarity and wind. If you have a RW/RP middle pup in your guitar it will not work and will need to be changed to match the other two. $260.00 Yikes!

As for how it sounds, go HERE and click on the first clip. It is titled "New Guitar With BB Preamp and and RC Booster". Scott Henderson demos the backplate system in the first part of the clip. Sounds pretty darn good to me.

Yeah, true...I have a friend who has it and he says it works great. Yeah, a bit pricey, but I do think it's worth it. However, all of my Strats have a RW/RP middle pup. I may have to persue this at some point, it's certanly a great concept.
