Are there any that don't suck? I'm pondering the TC NM-1, the Eventide Modfactor, and even (Dog help me) the Line 6 MM4. In theory, it would be a fine thing to get a number of useable modulation effects in one moderately priced package, but if the consensus is that all of the above multis sound terrible then I'll pick them up one at a time.
I don't know about the ModFactor but I have the TimeFactor and if the former is anything like the latter, it would be definitely worth checking out.
Granted, it's not the same thing, but, in my opinion, the sheer quality of the TimeFactor puts it in a league of its own in the realm of floor-based delay units.
I use the MM4 regularly live and it depends on what you want/need...do you need a wide variety of servicable effect simulations in a moderatly price package ...or ...a few specific effects that are really a part of your "sound"...I got mine cause I liked the wide variety of effects to "try on" for different songs (and the price)and fro the amount I've used it (up until lately anyway...)difference in the sound in a live mix seemed neglegable... program up 4 and go...most of them are very servicable and work well...but...that being said, lately as I use fewer of the sounds as more a basis of the tone or feeling of the guitar part in a song...I would really prefer individual effects of higher quality...of course some of that is from this forum!!! GAS inducing Fez wearing buncha BooTeek hounds!!!!!!! just my 2 cents

That first thing, I think: I'd like to try out a few mod effects like vibe, trem, etc., but buying them one at a time without knowing how I'll use them seems like a bit of a risk. Good to know you like the MM4: it appears to be a very versatile, useable piece of gear.
