Got a 1 year old Baha Tele which, by the way, I love playing. I play through a Mesa 2-12 Stiletto combo and love the sound I get. But I've always noticed a buzz out of both the Tele single coil neck pup and the Broadcaster single coil bridge pup, even though they're both Custom Shop types.

I've been scoping out the pups on MT but am not sure which one's are for me. Keeley, Budz, BNs, Suhr, I don't know. Any suggestions and tips would be much appreciated.

BTW, if they don't have that traditional Tele twang, I wouldn't mind something different.

I can only speak from experience, but I have a set of Kinman's 60s Custom Tele pickups in my '52 reissue. They sound really good and the noiseless thing is a godsend if you record a lot/play at hi-gain settings. Some people who have played the guitar have missed the buzz, but personally I never cared for it.

I can't really say that these are the best available (or if even they are my favorite aftermarket Tele pickups) but I am happy enough wtih them to not have gone looking for alternatives.

The stuart blackguard bridge is great, I can say that. Pricey, but worth a look if you can swing it.

The Nocaster pickups in my CS Nocaster are very nice. I'm curious about the Stuarts so I have a set coming to try. I also have a set of Don Mare's coming for my pine Tele. Here's the blurb:

The 0038's aka the Lap-Steel Set

Available in new sets or send in a rewind! 6.2k Neck / 11.5k Bridge. A very much-favored 1950-1951 Broadcaster® era set of pickups! (for early Broadcaster® Tone)

Looking forward to some swapping and tweaking soon!

Great suggestions guys. The Kinman '60 Customs sound closer to something I'm looking for. Noiseless is a plus and if they sound a little different than an average Tele pickup then I'm game. I'll order and give a review soon after. Thanks guys!
