anybody know the trick to get george l's cables to work right. everytime i change my pedalboard i fight these things. i love them but whats the freakin trick?

You have to make sure that the cable ends are cut flush. The cables are a coaxial... if you don't have a clean cut, some of the braided wire gets exposed and can touch the inner wire or the inside of the plug causing a short...

i find a good thing to do is when cutting the cables.....make sure you can clearly see the inner core of wire......when i've stuck by this the cables worked great.......until i played a few shows and the right angled plugs came loose...there for washing my sound with some lovely hum

thanks for any help, i have noticed that the george cables seem to work their way out of my voodoo lab pedals! with all my other pedals they seem fine.very odd.
