Wish I never would have gotten rid of my Silouette. It had a modular PU system, you could swap single coils or hums with no soldering. Man that guitar had a beautiful neck. My old Bass player had a 5 string Sting Ray Bass, and that's the standard of the industry for a funky Bass. Don't forget the old Music Man HD heads and combos are some of the best values in a older tube amp, but they are HEAVY.

I'm not sure, but I believe that MM guitars and MM amps were from a different company. Dutch guitarist Anton Goudsmit plays a hybrid of two old Gretsches through a 1x15 type MM amp and his tone kicks!

i have a MM "Luke". great guitar. top built quality.
i use it only with my rack, not with pedals and combo because of the active EMG's....

According to Wikipedia, Leo Fender was a 'silent partner' in the early days.

I've wanted an Albert Lee MM since back in the day when I first laid eyes on one. The angular off-beat shape just somehow really fits.

I love my Sabre although it's a bit chunky and a tad on the heavy side. But those Leo Fender humbuckers and the preamp are a killer combination and it's still one of the most versatile guitars I've found.

That Sabre is really cool, active pickups really never hooked on though did they? I imagine there must be *something* cool about them.

It's the only active guitar I have and while I don't like active electronics in general, Leo definitely got it right on this guitar and it still amazes me with the range of tones and sounds available and its ability to cut through a band or mix without sounding out of place. It also has the ability to blow speakers so if you try one don't crank the knobs on the guitar!

I love my EBMM JP6. THE most comfortable neck (and whole guitar too) I have ever touched.

I had a Stingray 5 for 9 years and had a Sterling until I quit bass.

I nearly bought a JP6 last year and bought a Ric 330 instead (dont ask).

I've played most of the models and what strikes me is the consistancy from guitar to guitar. Oh and birdseye maple never goes amiss IMHO.

I have owned 4 older Axis Sports with S/S/H configuration. My main axe these days is a black '96 that I gutted to remove the stock electronics. I have Suhr FL's (low wound) in the neck and middle and a Suhr DSV+ (about 10K) in the bridge and i added a toggle to tap the humbucker. The tapped DSV sounds awesome and with this guitar and i can get country, rock, blues - whatever I need. And the necks on these things are amazingly comfortable.
