Whoa, whoa, whoa - now hold on just one cotton pickin' minute! If you think having a heart attack is an acceptable reason to goof up the Tourboxes, you have another think coming!! So let's get those priorities in order, Bro!! Wink

add me to the condolence list.life can be pretty
scary @ times.& those "wake-up" call moments are
a real mother.it sounds like you have genetics
working against you,so there isn't a whole lot
you can do.but,do what you can, follow the dr.'s
advice to the letter.med side effects suck, but you can,& will get used to them.you still have
many years to go!

I just read this. I wasn't in front of a computer for a couple of days due to work etc.

Don, I love you man & I'm glad you got help in time. The other day I ran into a friend from college. I hadn't seen him in about four or five years. When he saw me he hugged me & then told me that one of our buddies from the old days had died of a heart attack this year. We're at that age when this sort of thing happens. I'm so glad you're still here to talk about it. God bless you my friend.

DonneR, I'll keep you in my prayers. Glad your ok. I come from a long line of men with early heart attacks also. Then I found out a couple of years ago that sleep apnea had been killing my heart. Thank God, no blockages.

It is good to be alive! Take care of youself and get well. I'd be glad to help with the tourboxes, let me know what you need.

Donner good to see you came out pretty much as good as before.

I just this whole post so I'm late for the 'get well soon post' but you do what you can to keep it under control to avoid any repeats Wink

I'm in a similar situation as yours, previous family history, I'm in good health train and watch what I eat since I've been diagnosed with cholestherol the diet took care of that I added the gym to it on a personal challenge. I look and feel better due to that, but I know that if my blood pressure goes haywire I won't be able to keep the same training going on and I really like it scary thing is I'm younger than you are... still everything is A1 with me and I do what I can to help it, but like David Lee Roth sung it 'the only thing you know for sure is that hey you never know!'

You can still play and tweak and you probably will have a bit of a time off to do just that Big Grin

Hey Donner,

A little late, but I hope you get well quick. Just goes to show how regular check-ups are mandatory these not so young, but definitely not old days.

Taks care of yourself!!

Glad you got through it, Donner. Adjust accordingly and you'll have a long good life. In some ways it's better to have that 'lesson' whent you're 44 than ten years later.
I'm about your age, lots of heart problems in my family. My father passed away when he was 53.
I don't believe in any genetic fate. Our age, the golden 40s is the time to be smart and do the right investments/adjustments. We will transcend family history and have a long life.

"May God bless and keep you always,
May your wishes all come true,
May you always do for others
And let others do for you.
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung,
May you stay forever young,
Forever young, forever young,
May you stay forever young."

I am speechless and kinda in shock I think.

I guess I kinda think of DonneR like an MXR box. You know that tough and indestructable kind of thing.

Obviously he's not an indestructable MXR box but it's really nice to see everyone's warm thoughts.

Hang in there D'man and get well brother.

All the best from the PedalworX North crew
