I have never tried using my fuzz and overdrives with my Amp`s clean channel before.
I use my Marshall`s dirt side for riffing and add the overdrive and fuzz for solo/rhythm purposes.Besides I run two amps at the same time and do get some great amp crunch.

Am I missing on having more tone options?
I am afraid of saturating my amp clean channel.. should I use my distorted pedals with my amp`s volume set high without any fear?

I do need your insights guys.

I'm not really sure what you're afraid of, but you won't damage anything running them in front of the clean channel. As far as your tonal options, I feel like you have more with pedals into clean or just slightly dirty amp rigs, but YMMV.

I run my setup this way as I think it is the best way to cover a lot of tonal ground (which is a requirement for me since I play with a variety of bands and need a lot of tones available).

I generally ONLY use the clean channels of my amps - if they're ch. switching - and use all my OD's, dists and fuzzes in there.
The only thing I've ever blown up was a vibro champ with two MXR dist +'s maxed out. It sounded glorious ... for about two minutes. Then there was nothing - Lol!

this might be a kinda big pic but...The Rev Billy G with multiple expandora "tone dog"

on the clean channel will really let you hear your od pedals flavor and see what it is or isn't bringing to the party...not that cowabunga distortion stacking doesn't have its place...

Oh it tried! I remember that my brother came into my room to see what the fuck was going on. He stood there and listened for a couple of minutes and then asked me if fire was supposed to be coming out the back of the amp (fried tube socket). After that two Distortion +'s was kinda my thing ... only with a Twin Reverb.

Thanks guys I guess I will have to experiment with my clean channel a little.
MUrphy I love ZZ-Top, and have been driving off to work with their classics this very week... oh man the tone Billy GIbbons gets is amazing.
I am thinking about letting "my goatee" grow that big.. but that could scare my lady off.

Since this post made me happy I will now a post about "what benefits does beauty pics bring to our lives" it will some "chick pics best of" to celebrate all of your comments..
