Hmmm.... kinda like a Rotovibe. The only thing that sucks is that when you click it on it's at the fastest speed. I'm all for space saving though!

True Dat, it was one of the things I liked about my original Deja 2. Nonetheless, space saving is always good and it sounds great!

Hmm, if only the 'click' circuit were in the back of the pedal.. Or some foot detector thingy..

Yeah that's a good idea. I'd rather have it in the back so the vibe starts slow when you turn it on.

Also looks like he ditched the AC cable, and went with 9v power bumped up internally to 18v.

Glad to see he gave props to Bob! Fuller is usually pretty quick to cut down other builders.

The pedal looks cool.

I went to the Fulltone site and voted for the switch in the heel because nobody makes a vibe like that any more. The original was not true bypass so my take on Mike's true bypass relay switching idea is that it is actually an improvement to the original design.

Looks like a win-win situation as this Vibe brings something new (old?) to the pedalboard in a space conscious fashion.

So, when will they be available and how much?

GASsssssssssssssssssssssssss

Looks great, I've wondered why Mike hadn't done this earlier. He makes a great case for the Clyde and thought he would do this long ago. Back last November I took an original Uni-Vibe and had Barb draw up the case and pedal, we were going to release a version for the die hard vintage guys that wanted the original look and all (still might, depends how my health goes) and then use the pedals for a version of the Mojo Vibe. Oh well, he beat me to it Smile

But Mike makes good stuff and I'm glad to see him to it. I've always said if I didn't make my own I would be using a Fulltone (I do have a Mini-Deja'Vibe).

I thank Mike for the kind words and the respect is mutal. Good luck with the new vibe, she looks great and I'm sure she'll sound great also.

e-mail response from Fulltone:

"HI, thanks for taking the time to answer my question...the "Relay people" win with a landslide 98% of the vote.

The production pedal will have a true bypass (heel actuated ala vintage Univibe) relay that defaults to "bypass" should power be lost to the pedal.
That way you aren't stuck with no sound the rest of the night should your power supply fail.
Thanks again

I've been toying with the idea of building a UniVibe into a Dearmond volume pedal case I have but now I'm not sure. GAS is building. Smile

It's about time there will be a Vibe clone that will turn on as the original Univox did.

Why how did the original Univibe's pedal turn on? Didn't it depress at the toe? By the way I have one of Bob's Black Ultra Vibes!
