Many use 'Fisherman's' cough tin box or the likes. So did I at one point, but they tend to open in the case. Many know about my famous Glorbz keychain pouch but that's not enough for the variety I keep at hand with me...

Now I just thought I'd share this interesting discovery...

Was recommended to me by the 8yrs old...he also noticed they had rectangular boxes... so I got both last time I went to Walmart the rectangular one are the perfect size to store a 9v in your case and not worry about leak. The kid also has one in his case... for his picks in fact he came home with his first and said he was gonna use it for his picks... and thought I should also... smart! So I did buy more and he got to help emptying them of course.

I currently use one of those little Hendrix pick tins by Dunlop, the Band of Gypsys one. The only problem with those though is that the top lid seems to slide open too easily; it sure looks cool though! Smile

I’ve also used these…

Yep those altoid are the same as the Sucrets, and Fishermans Friend I see from time to time around here I used to use one similar to that.

I know the Hendrix tin...

I have seen similar blank ones(available for cheap in bulk) and like you I find the lid to be too easy to open. I have a Snarling Dog one of those(came with Brain picks).

Altoids box. I keep my lap steel bar, different types of picks, thumbpicks and fingerpicks in it. I don't have room for my capo and slide.....

I use Wegen picks, so when I bought a bunch (by taking a 2nd mortgage, of course), the dealer threw in a "Wegen Pick Pouch". I've had it for about 3 years or so.

How do you like those Richard?

My favorite picks right now are the Dunlop Ultex .73 picks. I like the sound of the attack and they are durable too.

I have this keychain pick pouch that I got with a magazine once.. It really comes in handy for the whole 'keeping one with you at all times' deal. I'm gonna look for a nice little tin like that though. I keep al my small gear in a bowl by the computer usually, but I still tend to lose picks..

Not to hi-jack your thread, does anyone have a tip for me on storing picks quickly when playing? I want to play more fingerstyle but I have to sing too. I switch to sax or EWI during shows as well.. Any tips?

Here's the notorius Glorbz pick keychain...

NJo here is a few ideas for you...

I have all of those but for the monster on tuner peg pick holder... will probably get a few for the collection but they don't seem very practical to me.... but they do have a look factor.

The small wedgie one is convenient and I use it from time to time as it also muffles the sounds of the strings behind the nut(don't tell anyoneWink )

I prefer those that go on mic stand... but you need to be close to one wich is not always my case but woudl be perfect for you... you might also want to check into the dunlop ones... they have longer ones... I will get some of the longer dunlop ones one day waiting to find a box for dirt cheap to use them in my collection exhibit to hold the giveaway picks...

There's always double sided tape... gets messy but it's cheap and works great... I always have a roll in my gigbag... holds more picks on the guitar than the wedgie and is easier to grab one when you need it.

Oh and in Rolo style you can alway suse the Ice Pix... I also do from time to time...

I have an old metal Sucrets box that is in my Roadcase. At home I use some plastic Gerber baby food containers. I saved a bunch of these when my little guy was a baby.

I use the Bluegrass picks and won't use anything else. They don't bend (very accurate), are beveled (so you loose the high end), don't wear out and have holes punched to help you hold them. They aren't very forgiving and you have to really get your hands together to use them because there isn't anything mushy about the attack, but you get a lot of control in exchange.

I might end up with a few of those myself I guess, tho we're using the Babycubes system. I can see those being turned into pick container also Big Grin Can be found for about 5$ for 8 of those... maybe I shoudl buy a load and sell them on ebay as pick container lmao
