Whoa. Just saw the EH Tube Zipper review in the latest issue of Guitar Player. For a mag that awards the "Editor's Pick" 3-5 times per month to just about anything, I don't believe I have ever seen such an unfavorable review. Whatever. Anyone have one of these things? The soundclips here sound pretty damn cool.

I dont know I loved that pedal. But then again I like things that are wacked out. It was very original pedal. I guess the real reason GP is pissed that EH doesnt spend enough money on advertizing.
Mark my words it will be a pedal in 15 yrs everyone pays $2000 for when the stop making them next year because of the article....

I agree I love the pedal, its whacked out. Major bleeps, farts and tweeks, as well as some normal sounds. I think its much more in the spirit of the original EH boxes, i.e, just plain crazy out of control noise makers.

I was surprised at the GP review, as well, even though I haven't heard the Zipper. GP's been accused of gushing too easily over products before; maybe they figured it was time to rip something up. The guys that review for magazines are not that different from us, aside from the fact that they get paid for their opinions. One man's trash is another man's treasure.
As for EH, I was surprised to see the digital reverb (Holy Grail).Considering their niche, it doesn't seem like something they'd delve into. Hope they're not spreading themselves too thin...
