It's been a long emotional week for Me. Last Sat My Sister-in-Law Who was visiting from Florida for a couple of weeks past away. She had been sick with what We thought was a flu. Sat. She collapsed on the floor and was complaining that Her neck hurt. We called 911 and while We were waiting She went into cardiac arrest. My Wife's efforts to revive Her were unsuccessful as were the efforts of The EMT's and Doctors. She was buried in Arkansas so We had to drive, since there were 5 of Us making the trip. The funeral was emotional but nice as funerals go.

When We left the funeral We drove to Branson, MO to see Our "Grand Daughters." On the way We hit a deer. Damage to the car was minimal. Our "Grandaughters would be My Wife's Nephew's Girls. They left Idaho about 2 years ago when The oldest was 3 and the Youngest was 3 1/2 months. It was a very good visit as The oldest remembered Us and Idaho very vividly. On the way out to Arkansas and on the way back We spent a night at My Wife's Friend's house in northeastern Kansas. The lightning was incredible. Especially the one that hit very close to Me when I was fueling the car. I saw the lightning and heard the thunder at the same time and just about jumped out of My cloths.

We saw a lot of pretty countryside and inspite of the circumstances we did have some enjoyable times and memories.

Long doesn't begin to describe your week! Best wishes and condolences to you and yours...the juxtapotion of the saddness of your sister in laws sudden "depature" and the magnitude and magistry ( and obviously danger - Eek -they probably would have made you pay for the gas even if the lightning had hit!) of nature and creation...our lives are so small in the grand scheme, but no less important...

Thanks Guys. Much appreciated! Hey Big Rob, We stayed in Searcy but The funeral was in McCrory. There was a lot of beautiful countryside to behold. The Ozarks of Mo. and Arkansas were breath taking. Eastern Kansas was really nice. Nebraska was also pretty but Wyoming was a little boring. We went through Utah at night both ways so I didn't see much there.

Sorry to hear of your families loss Guy. If some good came of it, it is getting the families together across state lines and staying in touch. God bless.
