Lordy, it’s not even May yet and I’ve already purchased:

- 7 pedals
- 2 pickups
- 1 new speaker
- 1 new amp
- 1 new pedalboard

And now I’m seriously thinking about buying another Strat.

That’s about an entire year’s worth of gear activity for me. Sheesh! Eek

2001 & 2002 were like that for me. I've been on a gradual sell-off since then and have arrived upon the perfect mix of guitars, amps, & effects.

Since 010106, I bought a Strobostomp and a Framptone 3Banger. I sold an EGDM, and a Framptone Amp switcher. I also sold a Mic preamp, a 4track recorder, 2 Mics, and a Mixer.

For the first time in years, I'm not really looking for anything.

I was doing real well until I saw a picture of a Fender Custom Shop '63 Relic Tele in Ice Blue Metallic. I'm going to be in trouble, I can feel it coming on.

Busy year for me...

Sold Warwick Thumb fretless bass
Traded a Musicman Stingray 5 for a Sterling 4
Bought a 50's Gibson ES125
Traded a bass cab for a EH Graphic Fuzz and cash

I'm already thinking of Trading the Sterling for an amp or cab. I must have got bass out of my system.

I had a '53 ES125 that was a great sounding guitar for blues & jazz - sweet woody tone. Hope you like it for a long time. Cool

Considering that all my purchases have been in the hundred- rather than thousand-dollar range, this year hasn't been too bad so far. Of course, "so far" is the key phrase. Roll Eyes

Texas Two Step
Red Witch Deluxe Moon Phaser
Axxess BS2 Buffer
HoneyBee
PedalTrain Pro board
Lollar Imperial HB's
RC Booster
Klon (on order)

Last year was REALLY bad for me...

This year, I've been 'fine tuning' my board -

Out:
Tonefactor Hellbilly

Tried:
Skreddy Screw Driver - nope
COT50 Red - yes!

Out:
Arion SAD-1 Analog Delay

Trying (in the mail as we speak actually):
Jacques Prisoner Analog Delay

Chopping block:
DLS Chorus~Vib (I use it for vibrato 95% of the time - like it a lot, could do better though)

Current jones:
ProAnalog Maggie Vibrato

Thing that wakes me up in the middle of the night:
A Koll Superior Tele/P-90 I've been designing in my head for the past 6 months...

You've nailed what it does and although it's great amped I play it unplugged a lot. It's the ideal practice guitar, no pedals, no amp. I can see myself old and useless (no comments please) playing this thing in a sheltered accomodation.

3 pickups--1 Dimarzio YJM, SD little 59, Rio Grande Dirty Harry.

Since Jan. Ive got 6 pedals, thinking about droping 2 and replacing them with 2 others, 1 amp, 2 guitars. Im not doing bad I had been saving up for the pedals and got them all at once, sold some old amps for the new one, and the guitars... well i really like them.

Now for that new Retro Phaser and some George L's.

Oh and Willie, I think you have the best little picture ever. Ive always got my towel with me.

set of fender 57/62's
a Vox 847 wah
George L's cable kit (about to get some more ends)
and a line 6 echo park( i think i got it in january at least)

pretty slow so far but its picking up,

to come:

a set of Duncan Antiquitys tele pickups

Im bidding on a carl martin hot drive n boost which im probally going to win

tc electronics chorus/pitch/flang

fulltone 69' or octafuzz (maybe both Smile

mini Deja-vibe...i really want one

and finally a lehle amp selector/looper.

im kinda limiting it to just about that with pedals, Im about to purchase a parted strat from a friend, also my big purchase of the year im planning on a Marshall dsl50 (or 100)watt head, hopeing to have a marshall/fender amp switching setup by the end of this year,

In for a penny in for a pound. Today I'm thinking that besides another Strat, another Gibby style guitar is in order too. I'll be selling two guitars off on Fleabay to help fund them, of course, but still... Yikes! Eek GAS-O-RAMA! Big Grin

I think maybe it's because I can see the light at the end of the tunnel with my rig, and I'm feeling like making a dash for it.
