Got a BBOD today and been trying it out. Don't want to give a premature review but I'm really liking it. (I always say that with new equipment) Very amp like and the most dynamic pedal I've ever heard. My amp seems a little more alive with this pedal. So which BJF should I get next? I got the BBOD because it seems to be the most popular. I can see why! BTW how do You guys use the BBOD i.e. low gain, medium or maxed out?

Thanks Don. Yeah it's so creamy and sweet sounding. It's making Me rethink my loyalty to the Rumble Mod. Eek

I set the BBOD drive between 1 and 3 o'clock. I like a little gain on tap, then play with the guitar volume down most of the song unless it is an all out rocker. My second BJE, a Dyna Red, is due in tomorrow. I am hoping it makes it in time for tomorrows rehearsal so I can hear it at volume.

I like the BBOD all accross the range, but especially with the gain around 10. That way, sounds very carltonish with humbuckers.
Really cool pedal.

I liked the BBOD best as a lead box, with its gain set about 1:00 - 2:00. But then I heard the Dyna Red and liked that pedal even better. So I swapped my BBOD to Tim Z. for his Dyna Red. Before Tim owned it, it belonged to beckanon, so that particular Dyna Red has made its rounds among the Toyz brethren.

As for which one to get next... there's a bunch of good ones, but the one that really knocked me out was the Sea Blue EQ. Sounded great, very versatile. Can be used to shape EQ, to goose or add different flavor to dirtboxes, or a combination thereof. I'm jonesing for one for my acoustic-electric rig in the worst possible way.

Yeah, I'm finding that the BB sounds good at any od level. I tried Don's suggestion and jammed with My strat with it set for low gain and could have played for hours! But it sounds so good up high too.
