I've heard a lotof good things about the digitech pedals, like the multi chorus, the hyper phase, the synth wah etc...

Anyone has some experience with any of them?

I'm looking at the phaser, especially since it has a 7 position wave knob, which looks pretty nice.

Plus, it has gotten some good reviews on HC (whether or not that means anything Big Grin )

I have had the digidelay on my board since about the time they came out, no problems, buffer seems good to me. It is in the loop with a cf-1 and I use it mostly on the tape setting.

While my cf-1 was being updated I used the chorused delay at a rehearsal and really liked it, no obvious chorus sounds on staccato type sounds and chorus on sustained sounds, worked nice.

i had the digidelay and thought it sounded very good. had the synth wah and didn't like it very much other than for that super robotic-type sound.

I tried that hyper phase and it's pretty cool, has a zvex-ian seek mode that is definitely worth the price of admission consider you save about $200 on the price of the zvex.

I had the HyperPhase - lots of different options. The step wah was quite cool. I sold it though, the phasing had too much of a metallic, almost flanging sound for my taste. I use my Alesis Faze or Infinitphase if I need the step thing.

I tried all of the Digitech X-series pedals at GC about a month ago. I thought their sounds were as good as any of the Boss pedals. The bypass is not bad. I used a Digidelay on my board for quite a while and loved it. My gassing has caused me to switch delay pedals, but I'm thinking about going back to the Digidelay, because it worked much better than the SIB Mr. Echo I just sold. It also sounded much better than the Boss DD-5 or 6 IMHO. It dosen't have the high end digitized-sounding repeats that the Boss pedals have; it sounds more natural.

The Chorus and Flange sounded better to me than the Boss, less digital-sounding.

The Phaser sounds good in the normal phase modes, again, warmer than the Boss PH-3, but the Digitech's step phase was not good. The Boss PH-3's step phase is great, very unique, while I found Digitech's step phase fairly useless.

Thanks guys. I just got one for cheap, and am looking forward to it. Contrary to most gear buys I make, I went for it because of all the options. I generally like my amps and pedals fairly simple.
I don't use phaser on my board, and plan not to put one on.
It would be a nice and versatile addition, if/when I need phaser.

If it's musical enough, then it's fine by me.
