Howdy! I use a Honey Bee and (occasionally) an LGE through an old Fender Brown Deluxe and an old Fender Blonde Bassman... Both sound godlike! As for your question, the Honey Bee doesn't have as much gain on tap as a Tubescreamer... But trust me... You won't miss it... I don't think the Honey Bee will EVER leave my setup! -Dave Nailling

Thanks for the input Dave. I'm getting really close to ordering one. I ordered an LTD but it is on back order and I'm thinking about just getting a HB instead. I've got a few days to decide.

I think the greatest testimony to the HB is the fact that I've only seen 1 on ebay since they came out. And I check for BJF pedals regularly! Seems like the DRD is the one I see most often.

It reacts different than a tubescreamer. It's very susceptible to different pickups and pick attack so you can definitely get more bit out of it using different guitars. You really need to hear it. But I'd say the overall level of gain is probably a little less than a tubescreamer overall.
