Check with George at Acme Guitarworks. Good friend of mine who has a great business doing exactly what you are looking for. See his full page ad in Vintage Guitar Magazine or visit his website at: www.acmeguitarworks.com

Which Suhr pups are recommended if I want a hot bridge (~4 henry)and normal middle and neck? I am thinking of the V60LP but am not that familier with Suhrs. Any input is appreciated.
I have bought from acme before, good service.

You could talk to George about the specific pickups too, Felken. I wouldn't know what to recommend because I only have the V60LP's and they are in both my Strat and my Tele. I love the tone and balance, but they are a vintage output so you may want something slightly hotter for your bridge. I used to go that route myself (especially in the Strat) but I gave up that approach when I went with the Suhrs. I don't miss the sound of those overwound bridge pickups - they always seemed too compressed.

Right now I have a SD custom in the bridge with a bass plate. It is not too compressed to my ears but for a bridge pup I generally prefer hb's which it isn't.
I love strat tones except for the bridge pup, which is a little thin.
I have thought that it is just not possible to get the bridge tone I want most of the time from a strat with a single coil but don't want to sacrifice the quack tones with an hb in the bridge.
The age old strat problem.
I may just let it be what it is and put a vintage set in there instead of trying to drive a square peg in a round hole if I pull the trigger on a new set. Thanks for the help.
