Just couldn't resist, as it looks so cool. Plus, early reviews are good. I'll give some feedback here once I get it.

I just don't get the EVH P-90. The only thing that button does is the "R-28" mod, which is just taking out one resistor. Plus that blue LED looks horrible with the red case. You could get a standard P-90 for cheaper.

It's good marketing on Dunlop's part, but seems rather gimmic-y to me on the consumer end.

....end of rant.

Good points, Head.

But I'm not so sure if the switch just does the "remove R28" thing. I have not seen anything official from Dunlop about this -- I'm going to e-mail them. Instead, it just seems like pure speculation from all the folks out there who already own a RI Phase 90 and have removed R28. My guess is that there is something more to the "Script" switch than people think. I could be wrong . . .

I have been wanting one it just sucks that they doubled the price. I think I want one more for the cool look factor. I already have a on old script P-90 so I don't really "need" one. I will probably hint at the wife to get me one as a X-mas gift.

Is it True Bypass? I am guessing not.

FYI -- Here's the official word from Dunlop"

"The EVH-90's Script button does more than the original R28 mod. It's proprietary information. So I am not allowed to discuss it."

I've got two words for Dunlop...

BS!!! Big Grin

I'd love to see the insides of this thing to see just what it does.... unless Dunlop is now in the "gooping" game.

I actaully hate the look of it like that (although i did have a hondo knock off in the mid 80's with the stripes). I'm intrigued though tonewise...

FYI it's true bypass..and supposed to be a lot more quiet than the regular Phase 90/100.
Also I owned a real Script logo Bud Box Phase 90 and compared it side by side to a phase 90 with R28 mod and they were NOT the same...close..but the real script phase was better sounding..more warm..more transparent.
I would be interested in hearing from someone that could do a side by side with a real script 90.

The pedal is now in my hot little hands -- at work, unfortunately. It is a nice looking pedal, that's for sure!

I will give it some workouts tonight and report back. I don't have a script Phase 90 to compare it with, but I know pretty much how they sound.
