So, besides the original, what would be the 3 BEST versions of this song?
I have a few students, who want to learn this song. And I want to really check out some of the better versions, by other artists. |

Yeah!! Jimmy Olander......there's a tele monster that no one talks much about. When I was gigging the line dance circuit, I just about went nuts trying to figure out WFT he was playing on "Me Oh My Sweet Baby".........turns out he had a double Glaser bender......lol. |

I'd love to have a double Glaser bender. Those licks are damn near impossible w/o it.Love a Little Stronger is one of the slickest bender work I've heard.

Another couple of great clips!
Man, I LOVE Matt Rawlings' Piano playing. And Mark O'Conner? WHEW! The "Twitty-Approved" hair Brent is sporting, rivals Marty's! I found a pretty good version on YouTube. Here's that link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIMIGR4j78Y And here's the TAB for that guy's solo: http://www.cleverguitar.com/working_man_blues/ Any more? Did Jim Campilongo, Danny Gatton, or Roy Buchannan ever cover this? I'd be interested in hearing those, if they exist. |

Willie Nelson does it live at every show with his guitarist, Jody Payne, singing it. Jody toured with Hag for about 3 years in the late 60's. Sounds real close to the original, but they jam on it a little, so there might be some extra cool licks crammed in there somewhere.
