I got a fuzz 50 a wial back.realy cool fuzz with a ton of mojo. The vibe of this pedal is unreal, but it has its draw backs. The pedals max vol. is unity gain or slightly lower. And I don't find the max setting it's best feature. Also talked to sean and he said any increase in vol. on that design & the tone suffers. So I've been noddling around will this thing through my new amp A 60's Reverberocket. This amp has some sick reverb that boarders on delay sounds and the warmest tremolo I've heard. So I've got the trem & verb going full bore, doing some old shcool over reverbed blues riff w/ a clean tone ala Majic Sam & step on the fuzz 50(knob about 10 o'clock) .What a wonderful understated old shcool fuzz tone.not jumping out at you just grit & sustain. All the chime & texture of the clean tone still ringing through almost underneith. And if I needed to take a lead to that net ,more powerful 8 bars you sometimes get at the jam.I just kick the Orange Squeezer for more sustain & punch.Just perfect.
So next I pull out my buddies Keeley Fuzz Freek & start riffing on that(super nice pedal BTW.Got one on the way)& deside to do some Trower riffs. So trem on as fast as possable &phase 90 at noonish for a pseudo vibe,FuzzFreek set to hefty fuzz.Pretty convincing.Maybe not to a hard core hendrix guy or someone w/ a nice clone but suitable or a jam or a bar full of drunks that wouldn't know any better.I disided to hit the fuzz 50 for the lead tone & wow again it brought the mojo.I think its vol drop character w/ the fact it was coupling with another fuzz let it take the Fuzz Freek next level without making it crazy the way it can get with stacking gain pedals. Also I was still getting that stacked thing like with the blues tone. I could still hear the FFreek tone UNDERNEITH .The Fuzz 50 almost sat on top of it.So I start tring this with all my gain boxes & I'm finding this is where this thing realy shines. It just adds so much character to any thing its but into. This thing has no enemies. This has now found a perminate spot on my board .A fun new tool that almost got the boot for lack of umph but found itself staying for the same reason.

i think this is where the Balance works best as well. by itself, it's a good sounding pedal, but stacked is where it really shines.

and ampegs are great amps. period! whether from the "jazz/hi-fi'ish/Hull" era like your Reverberocket, or later "rock n roll" stuff.
