First of all: I graduated! It's kinda hard to explain quickly how the Dutch school system works, but basically there are 7 different levels of secondary education and I did the very highest, which includes a classical language (Latin in my case), with the most technical set of subjects possible (Physics, Chemistry and Maths at the highest level) and a 100 for Computer Tech. So that's pretty fun and all, but now for the important stuff Wink

Yesterday I did my theory entrance exam for the Amsterdam Conservatory (Jazz department) and I scored two 90's! One for things like writing out stuff by ear and hearing chords and the other for general theory. So today was my practical exam and guess what.. I got admitted!! So next year I'll be studying with Holland's top guitar players and I'll also be studying computer tech along the way..

But first, summer vacation! Time to play and party, cheers,

NJlo Cool

NJlo, congratulations my friend! It sounds like quite a few great achievements and you're very right, before becoming the Dutch Hendrix you should enjoy the summer. I'm sure that's what any self-respecting guitar hero would do Smile

All Right!

90%? hat sounds like an "A" to me. Congratulations on graduating, AND for being accepted into the Conservatory.

One of these days, you'll be much too famous to talk with! LOL

Seriously though, that is quite an achievement. And you're at a great point in life. A Crossroads, of sorts. It's going to be fun to hear about all of your trip, and to live vicariously through them!

Wow that Godin looks awesome.. Good price point too, kinda the same ballpark as the Gretsch G100. In a perfect world I'd find an axe that's just about as traditional possible with a good acoustic sound, maybe a transducer/piezo system to blend with a more magnetic sound, that I can somehow even use at rock band volumes. Traditional stuff and progressive thinking (: Ooh and locking tuners..

Congratulation, I always remember an interview with Gary Moore where he said (I think referring to Steve Vai ~ these guys go to school to play guitar, I left school early to play guitar!).
Well done ~ Do you think you will get to see/play/learn from Jan Ackerman? I saw him last year and he played more chords in one song than I (or Gary Moore) play all night Smile
