Okay, I've got a couple of pedalboard photos set up in a flickr account, but everytime I try to post them on the site I get a little ? instead of a pic. I'm clicking on the little image thingy, pasting the URL in the slot, but it ain't workin'. What am I doing wrong?
I'm posting from a Mac, if that makes a difference.
Thanks, Nanook. I've got the pics uploaded onto Flickr. When I post, I click on the little image thingy in the utility bar at the top of the window, right? That opens another little box, where I paste in the flickr URL for my photo. Click OK, click post, should work, no? Maybe my image is too big or something.
Flickr offers different image sizes. Click on the 'all sizes' link on top of the photo in the link you posted above, then choose the size you want...then right click on that photo and click on properties... then copy the image URL from there. I hope that makes sense...
I think so--sorta. So the image was too big, you think?
Thanks on the rig thumbs-up! It's been a process, but I'm pretty happy with the current state of things. There's a '65 Deluxe Reverb RI just out of the frame to the left; I'll put up some guitar pics in the next day or so, when I get time. As you can tell, I love low-mid power tube amps, and I love love love pedals.

I knew that there was a Fender nearby, I could see the footswitch.
The problem wasn't that the pic was too big, it's just that the link you posted was a link to the actual page the picture resides on, and not the actual picture. From now on just right click directly on top of the pic you wish to post, click on 'properties' in the drop-down menu and then copy and paste the URL into the 'image' box on the utility bar when you post. It sounds complicated but it's pretty simple once you get the hang of it.
What's your favorite of those three amps you have? They have a Lonestar Special exactly like yours at a nearby shop; I've been meaning to try it out...

The one I find myself playing the most at home is the Maz 18; it's kind of a set it and forget it amp, super easy to dial in your sweet spot--and it likes pedals as much as I do. I like the clean channel of the Lonestar Special, too, and the boost function is incredibly useful--it's like having a four channel amp, almost. I still haven't figured out how to dial in a dirty sound that I really like; maybe I'm just spoiled by the great pedal sounds I have on hand. The Lonestar sounds surprisingly big for a relatively small amp; they did something really right with the cabinet dimensions, and produced a really warm, resonant box. Also, at the 30-watt setting, it's hella loud. Given that it's only about a hundred clams more expensive than the Maz 18, it's WAY more versatile and gig-friendly. Downside: you could drive yourself nuts tweaking all those knobs and switches. Also shockingly heavy at around 65 lbs. The Deluxe is what it is--great Fender cleans, great spring verb, loud as a mofo at about 4 (which is also where it starts to open up), bullet-proof, very portable. I bought mine (a mint store floor model) on eBay for about $600, which is exactly what it's worth. Wouldn't pay $950 for this amp, but at $600 it's a must have for me.
Thanks for the pic=posting help. I'll see if I can make it work on a Mac!
Thanks. I'm still figuring stuff out--like how to work a stereo effect into this rig, and how to do a clean/dirty setup, etc. (guitar>Voodoo amp switcher>dirty/clean effects>amps I guess). Plus, I have no idea what to do with a wah pedal. But man, am I having fun!
Sorry for not explaining everything in the first place.
Flickr wasn´t that easy to use if you don´t know your code. I think they want people to visit their web site. You could use flick or the Photo album here on the forum. I never used that one before.
If you have a look at your page at flickr with your picture you will see a link to the top right saying "Share this"
Click "Share this"
and then "Embed it"
and look for the code snippet after the tag <IMG SRC=" and grab it starting with http:// and ending with jpg.

Usually great. But we had a warm winter and a cold summer so far. Everything is upside down. I´m in Stockholm now on vacation and it´s been nice and warm. They usually have a lot of rain and we have a lot of sun in the north. It seems to be the other way around this summer so far.
Global warming? - I have no idea!
