I found a Japanese review on a TS808HW. http://maruhatch.exblog.jp/i0 <- Here is the web link and the serial number for the pedal is the "083". I guess that Ibanez is making more than 18 units per year.

I went to the the site and read this

"数ヶ月ほど前に「TS-808の高級品みたいのが出る」といった内容の英語のビラがネット上でうpされてまして、でも他には情報が無く「誰かがフォトショで作ったデマかも」ぐらいにæ€ã£ã¦ãŸã‚“ですが"

and then I have to ask myself WTF? How could he say such a thing?

"TS is just TS,
"it is not something that is better than TS"
"naturally, it sounds like a tubescreamer."
"compaired to TS5... ???? something about it reacted better with chord ..blah..blah"
"anyways, it has same character and the sound quality is very close, but 808HW had more depth to it.
"really had to listen to it to hear the difference against TS5"
"it was easier to tell the difference between TO808 . .. "
"and LED was RED"

"it is better than TS5 but 20,000 yen is bit too expensive. it's for the extra HW mojo. I am not regretting the purchase yet."

sorry ...This is the Best that I could do..
then again... you will never know if I just made this all up... Big Grin

Thanks JP and in context, it makes sense.

Not unlike what many guys say about some TS-clones.

blah blah blah...
It's still a tube screamer. I dare anyone in a blind test to tell it apart from a regular tube screamer.

Pretty cool JP ...thanks.

OK, I found these gems today on Ebay

and

Both appear to be TS types.
One is SMT and $39 (as it should be)
and the other is three TS circuits in one pedal and $195 (which seems kind of cheap to me)

Neither had any bids and both end soon.
Kind of looks like the interest in such things is on the decline because a triple TS pedal would of had people salivating a few years back.
With the economy as screwed up as it is in the US one might have thought the $39 pedal would have sold as well.

Perhaps Ibanez is a bit late to the party.

George,I got one of those Behringers when they first came out at our store. I did a blind taste test with it,a real ts-808 and a very popular ts9 modded.. Setting to setting it was impossible to tell which was which.I actually got pissed about it.Wink
Remember Analogmikes dual Tube screamer?? Keith

Hey Keith,

Are you talking about a vintage TS-808 or a RI?

I have an old TS-9 that I would put up against anything regardless of price.

I didn't know Mike did a double TS but had a TS9 moded by him years ago that I really liked.
Are you asking about the KOT or something else?

Do you still have the Behringer?

George

Hey George. Yes I had an original ts-808 to compare to the Behringer..
I have a photo of one of Mike's Dual Tubescreamer pedals can not figure out how to post it.
Dude I am ashamed I have 3 KOT 4's and an original V1
I passed the Behringer along to a friend. The store I do guitar repairs for is a Behringer dealer.
Right now I have a TS clone I am using for the 808 stuff.Made in Canada??Forget what it is called..
