Actually Friday night...was involved with a "throw together" band of musician's to open for a great Christian guitarist...Lincoln Brewster...www.lincolnbrewster.com. You should read his story for kicks, pretty amazing...no pun intended.
We opened our set with Lenny Kravitz "Are you gonna go my way" and played for another 40 minutes or so and ended with the Switchfoot tune "Meant To Live". The stage was Illinois State University's Braden Auditorium...there were about 1100 in attendance; was just a blast. The coolest thing was playing the venue with my Marshall 18-watter cranked just a tad past noon and having plenty of volume and girth mic'd up through the big system. We got great comments, and I'm a personal friend of Lincoln's from the past; did a tone seminar with him about 3 years ago; so it was cool to hook up with him at this kind of level. Just wanted to share my excitement as to how fun the gig/event was. Builder's and drives used on my board were: Pedalworx (McFuzz, Tour Pro) Tonebone (Hot British #12) Barber (LaunchPad, LTD) Too fun rockin' the flock so to speak. Have a great day y'all. |

rock on man. 1100 people is pretty serious. we just played an auditorium show last night for around 200-300 people and i was really excited. it was for a showing of a christian surf video called "noah's arc", and the responses were great. glad to hear it went well for you.
