I am playing acoustic gtr now and wonder if it is better to buy and effects unit (rack) or get pedals for chorus, dleay, ect. for an acoustic guitar. Any hints?
definitely a half rack box like the Boss Multi-effects box. floor pedals are usually geared for electric guitars and their narrow midrange sweep. for an acoustic, you'll want something that covers a larger spectrum.

Well I play both electric and acoustic. I have a D-35 it's pretty nice, with a stock pickup. I have a few stompboxes and a AC-30. Sometimes I actually hook the Martin up to all my effects, through the Vox (which works great for my rock band) or through an ART tube preamp into the mixer which I have gotten some compliments for from a quite experienced player/engineer. He said it sounded really good like a "real" acoustic even though the pickup isn't that great. So that was through 7 boxes. Go figure? I sometimes use the KLON with my Martin it sorta fattens up the sound. I have also used a Line 6 DL-4 but you have to be careful with it or it's gonna sound too processed. I have tried my Super Hard On as well but that wasn't such a success. I don't know if any of that helps?

I've decided the racks were better for acoistics due to extensive research. I've ordered a Rane AP-13 acoustic pre-amp which I've read great reviews on. I am also considering a TC G Major for effects. May get a Demeter Dual direct box for the final -to-the-board sound. Anyone have any experience with these?
