I got some money burning a hole in my Paypal account.
I have been using a Keeley modded TS9 for years. I am happy with it, but can't help but wonder about some of the other pedals he mods. Can anyone tell me about the Boss Blues Driver and the Rat? |

Hi,
I've never played any Rat pedal, but I do have some experience with Blues Drivers. Stock, they aren't really too bad of a pedal. A friend had a Keeley BD and it sounded pretty good. The tone control range was pretty limited though. Anything past 9 and it got rather bright. I decided to try modding one myself. I was suprised at how well it sounded after some tweeking. It's a REALLY cool pedal now. My friend liked it so much, he had me re-mod his Keeley BD-2 for him. There are a few different mods out there right now. All of them improve on the sound of the BD-2. They all make the BD a much more useable pedal. Also the BD is a different sounding box than a TS. Head ______________________________ 10-24-08 RIP Bob Sweet. I've had a Rat for a number of years and while it's not usually on my board, it's always there when I need "that" sound. It seems to add sustain which really lets me get the most out of the notes. It reminds me more of a Mosferatu than a DS-1 type distortion pedal. I would really like to try a Keeley modded Rat and compare it with my old one.
