Yes.....It kicked the Electric Smile and the Bennett Lowball off of my Board. And at todays practice it did a noisy part with wah-wah and high gain amp, that was done with an MXR Blue Box.

Explosive is a good description. Cool

It can get very gated/explosive with the nature control towards its extremas. It has tons of gain. I usually have my gain around noon, and that's enough (for me Wink)...

With the nature control around noon, it's one of the coolest octave-fuzzes. With the nature control you can also control the amount of octavie in the sound, so you can go from an octave hint to octavia-land. It does a better job then say an Fulltone Octafuzz, although the CAF isn't an 'Octavia' clone... It can get the dubble-stop steeldrum thing though.

Thanks John Stax for throwing some details there! Right when I was going to say that the GAF(I'll post a pic soon) had less octave than the TAF....I put it after the MGMV and the coolest harmony note was right there perfectly in the mix. BJFEver!

Since my amp, for this band, is crankin' on gain channel.....setting the gain on the Apple Fuzz was a tough thing to get just right. It's at about 10 o'clock now, or at the "O".
Nature is set at that special "O" mark on the Green Apple Fuzz Worm Wagon Stage Model.

Here' a note from the custom GAF version Owner's Manual ....(how cool is that?!)....."Note! The octave position is indicated by an "O" for visuality at a distant. There is also an indication of the most behaved setting of Nature so as to allow setting of Nature on the fly."

One thijng Ive always dug about CAF, is how you can find a sound you like , and then roll the fuzz down and take the fuzz out but most of the sound is still t here.. like the octave, try it with the fuzz off but into another drive or fuzz... or the 'Farfisa' sound with nature at about 9 and playing with fingertips....

I think this one is the easiest to justify having two of Wink

Thanks for the tip Donner! I played lowvolume last night with the CAF on 'octave' with no fuzz dialed in, into a LGW (forgot the setting i think all around noonish). Sounded wicked!

I love my CAF (Pink Apple Fuzz in my case) and as DonneR says it's easily one of the pedals that BJ makes that you can have two of to blend the sounds from each of them. You know I'd love to see the GAF Tasty...can you shoot me a picture of it & is it like my GHOD pedal in appearance?
