I just ordered a Mcfuzz hot from Bob Mbroom (great guy and very helpful BTW), and I was looking around at good clean boosts to possibly supplement it. I was set on a ZVEX sho, but after trying it, the presence it adds seems to be too much with my (very soon to be) new amp. I'll be running a strat w/fralin vhots through several pedals (Fuzz/ODs): FD2/Blues devil, the Mcfuzz hot and a Turbo rat (which will hopefully be upgraded soon (fingers crossed Wink ) with a TB classic as my Med/High gain Distorsion----->and through a BF bassman and 2X12 Avatar (greenbacks). Since my setup will needless to say be pretty bright, I'm thinking the Fat Boost would be the better unit at the end of chain (on all the time), to thicken things up a lil' bit.
I might be wrong, so is there anyone who has a similar setup and has tried both 2003 Fat boost and Zvex SHOS, and who can *testify* ?
Thanks a lot,
K.

I've got a 2003 Fat Boost and it will do what you're looking for. If you weren't looking to fatten the tone I'd recomend the Baby Pink boost. I use one at the end of my signal chain mainly for the great buffer in it, then kick it on to get a nice solo boost.
