Just now I was playing with my drummer (who just threatened to punch me in the face for the "my" part) and I found the following effect to work perfectly with a new song we wrote. With some 'verb from my amp I play an open chord (not cowboy chord, the jangly type) and push the neck of my guitar a bit forward to detune a little. I know, that would be much easier with a whammy bar, but I don't have one. Now the sound that comes from this effect is a bit similair to a chorus sound, but more subtle and more controllable. Keep in mind, I HATE chorus. It's really cool though, because the 'verb keeps the original pitch intact and the detuned one is added onto it giving it a real spacey effect. But is there a way to get this sound without strangling my fave guitar? I thought of maybe a vibe pedal but that would be less controllable, maybe something that just detunes slightly at the push of a button? You guys are bound to know!

That's like what I did, but I can't imagine it being too good for my guitar.. Just a pedal push detune would be perfect which I think the Boss does. Any copies out there?

But, how did the "Studio Project" come out, Angelo? I've been waiting to hear all about it!
DETAILS, Man!
Just uploaded some new pic's to Flickr today! check 'em out right here http://flickr.com/photos/29059881@N03/sets/72157606434789804/ I had the drummer and recording guy over for a couple of days to try and get some tracks imported from another studio we recorded at - which turned out to be a hell of a job - and recording another song. We borrowed some preamps and microphones too.. The producer is really feeling like a part of the band right now, which is great. He's really into weird avant-garde jazz like The Bad Plus and cool '70s fusion like Mahavishnu Orchestra, really dig the guy. There are some new songs that still need artwork to be made, but most of that is already done and we found some great deals on printing and stuff. Don't know when we're done, but most of our holidays stop september 1st so after that it's just some vocals and mixing/mastering I think. I'll make sure you hear it when it's done!
Now back to topic. Oh and check out the vintage stack photo on flickr. Now really back to topic :P

All I found out about it by googling is that it's a rack-mount chorus? I tend to hate choruses, that's why I'm looking for a slight detune with 'verb.. I think it should be possible with a delay unit that slightly slows down the delay when you press a button. On really short time settings it would work like a chorus, but more manually. Problem would be the pitch bend upwards that would have to follow.
