Funny you should mention that, it is on the radar (of course), we have a little finagling of the TP pcb and the dual pot that is used for the blend...surely not weeks, possibly months, hope not a year...but, in time... Smile

Not to hijack this coolest of ideas...but it would be really really cool if circuit designers could make available for purchase "modules" of their circuit guts, then a user could match a few OD designs together in one box...as Dave is doing with his peds. There should be a "standard" box with switching setup that the designers can agree to an work into the design of these modules. It takes away some of the handwired aspect, and I'm not even sure this is possible. Is it? Sort of an "open source" approach in a way. Too many obstacles, I know, and it will probably never happen...but the possibilities are cool to dream about.

Beckanon: that's a bit like an open source Foxrox pedal? Which one was that they make, some sort of fuzz with switchable chips?

Yeah, you're right...Foxrox was on to that concept. I'm thinking of something where you could mix circuits from different makers: BJF + Barber, Menatone + whoever, etc. It's a little out there and the more I think about it, probably would/could never fly.

I like what I see of Dave's peds here though. Cool

That would only really be interesting if the circuits were interactive with each other or something, or if you could do something special with the switching (parallel, series in two different orders, auto-off for one if you switch on the other). There's no use for doing such heaps of work, collaborating on such a project if the only thing you'll end up with is a bit more real estate left on your board.

I think that's the real issue right there. Getting more than one pedal designer to agree on something!! Wink

Of course they have done something kinda similar in the recording world. API makes something called the "Lunchbox", and you can swap in different preamps, EQ's and compressors from different companies that all fit the API 500 series format. Not sure how API became the standard, but it does work slick.

So is there an option for 2 B-EQ's without a stacking mode so you don't have to doublestomp?

Currently the format is as I described "you pick, two of our 3 knob overdrives", DDSS, DDLG, LTD, LTD SR, Tone Pump. I am aware that there will be people who want our other pedals included (I appreciate that!), but as of now we have the drilling fixture (tooling), and PCBs for the product I outlined, any future mutations will be based on popularity/sales of the product that we have just now made available. This is a product that guitar players asked as to make for years, it usually went like this "Like,Dave, man, dude, if you could just like, put your LTD and the DD in one box, I'd buy one like yesterday!"... Smile
