Any of you guys with a JAC ever notice that with a cable plugged into the input but the pedal switched OFF - the led's will light if you max out the controls. Mines been acting a bit "squirrely" as of late, (inconsistent output, noisy pots). It sounds fine, I'm just wondering if this is "normal" or a symptom of something ready to go. I have checked/changed the battery.

Sounds like some technical support might be in order. Mena's not known for being that accessible - If you don't have contact info, email me. > bowen.tim@comcast.net

Thanks for the info "C". I got the answer. They all do it when the vol and gain are maxed. With a cable plugged in, it's on at this point, they're "hearing" a bit of signal - noise actually and reacting to it.

That's good to know - mine's at our studio right now, so I wasn't able to check it out. Glad you got it resolved, but did you determine anything about the inconsistent output? That sounds squirrely indeed, mine hasn't had that problem. Since we're on the subject - do you currently use yours mostly as "on all the time" box to smooth things out, or do you use it for specific applications? Fave settings? Thanks.

Inconsistent output was either a bad battery and/or a dirty pot. Anyway, it's not doing it now.
