Hey Folks,
I love that dense, creamy, almost clipped sound of a good 60s fuzz but I can't decide which pedal to get. I don't want a "fizzy" transistor sound that will kill my tone (had a RM Axis fuzz that I hated because of this) but I do want to be able to push a little beyond the realm of subtlety (not much further than the solo tone on Neil Young's "Cortez the Killer"). I play a Les Paul STD with Fralin HBs, and have a Valvetech amp on order. Other pedals I use are a Hotcake, old Smallstone, FD 2, and EH Memory Man.
If you guys had to choose, which pedal would you buy? London Fuzz or Soulbender? I'm leaning toward the London, but can I achieve the tones of a Soulbender w/ the London Fuzz?

The London Fuzz can give you that "Cortez" sound.. but not a Jeff Beck"tonebender".

The London Fuzz is great. It can do anything from Neil Young to Hendrix to Cream. Check one out.
