Well, in New Orleans, the hurricane was a big dud. I went for a walk during the "worst" of it, around midnight--the stars were beautiful, and little tiny clouds were zipping by. At most, it was heavily breezy.
We got off of school for four days (Tues-Fri), which seemed like an early spring break, as they were the nicest days of the year so far, weather-wise. Several of my friends spent tons of money and hours bumper-to-bumper on the Interstate evacuating to Houston, as it turns out, needlesly. Of course, if it had turned west, I'd have been the one singing the sad song as I looked for my tele amid the wreckage. Anyway, I know it hit really hard on the gulf coast, so I just wanted to check and make sure everybody fared as well as I did. DonneR, how was it in south GA? ------------------------------ 2 Kings 2:23-24 NKJV: And as he was going up the road, some youths came from the city and mocked him, and said to him, “Go up, you baldhead! Go up, you baldhead!” So he turned around and looked at them, and pronounced a curse on them in the name of the LORD. And two female bears came out of the woods and mauled forty-two of the youths." |
