Tone. Pure and simple. The BC is one of the creamiest pedals I've ever heard. I'm running it with the gain on full, the tone almost all the way off (to reduce mids), and the presence at about 1 o'clock. Sweet, sweet sweet.
Any other Blue Collar fans here?

My local "boutique" shop just picked up the Menatone line. I'm heading over there this weekend to check some stuff out. I'm really interested in trying some Menatone stuff.
Brian Mena told me that the entire line is being redone. The Howie is the next pedal that is going to be re-released. Should be cool!!

the BC seems like it was made for Fender amps-i had one like in the above pic and more recently the newer version with all knobs across the top. i'd like to check out the Fish Factory and also the new KOB sometime...

Did you notice any tonal differences between the two versions of the BC you had?

Yes I did. I also had one with the fat guy carying the lunch bucket (or is it a tool kit?). Anyway, it was voiced a little different. I wont say one sounded better than the other, just different. I was used to the older one and so that's the one I kept (and got a spare for).
So many pedals, so little time...

the newer one's tone knob had more range low to high-i sort of preferred the sweep on the old version, probably because i was just used to it...aside from that i couldn't hear any major difference between them.

Well when the presence pot died in my older one (as did the level and footswitch, which is why I bought a spare) Brian sent me a pot that was a different value (don't ask me the values cause I don't remember). All I can say is when I tried the newer one at the same settings as my old one the tone was different - more so than can be accounted for in the difference between two identical pedals. Something did change...
Anyway, if you like the pedal "PLAY IT AND BE HAPPY!!!"
