How about when you don't bother to take the straps off your guitars?
Possibly.
Ok, how about when your amps and cabs are color coordinated?
Got to be a good sign, yep.
The best indication? How about when, after 3.25 years of collecting pedals, you finally: a) vacuum your pedalboards, b) organize them, c) velcro them all down, and d) trim the jumpers to exact length?
Ah yes, I think that may be the one!

The Micro Vibe sounds great provided that, unlike most modulation pedals, you do not put it at the end of your chain. It's too mushy back there behind the drive pedals. Up front, however, it produces some wonderful orga*mic throb.
The Filter actually might be the coolest cheap pedal I've ever purchased. It is warm, rich, and clear; set mellow, the auto-wah quacks like a duck (just the way I like it!); its range is adjustable; and it is capable of some really cool trippy noises. Its only "flaw" is that it is not True Bypass. But in this case, that doesn't amount to a hill of beans because it is out on the TB loop of the X-Blender anyway.
Guess again.

another x-blender user. i have mine for some weeks now and really like it. i always wanted something to mix the amount of some modulation effects. i have a chorus and phaser pedal in the loop. do you use the eq of the pedal?

Top Fuel or Plush? Bite your tongues! Certainly not. Those are both tone-monsters.

I actually had two of those Fender PT's but with all the hubub about the Korg Pitchblack, I decided to try one. For $40 the Fender is a steal and works pretty well, but the Pitchblack tracks dead-on and the "fade-away" LEDs (rather than just "on/off") really help you to center the note. It is a marked improvement over the Fender, and True Bypass to boot.
So, I'm waiting to see what the consensus is on the Turbo-Tuner when the pedal version is realeased this Summer. If it is all it's cracked up to be, I will snag one. If the reception is just luke-warm, I will definitely grab another Pitchblack instead.

Precisely what I use mine for. I like to put the delay back there to be able to soften it also.
I really haven't used the EQ much, but it seems to do a good job. I wouldn't hesitate to use it if needed.

I know I'm done when I focus on learning songs or new theory. The longest stretch was most of '07. Ironically, when I need a break from music I start buying new things to keep my mind of the important stuff; like learning songs.
First off ... What a great looking gear collection. I know what you mean about the DOD. However I noticed a little mojo hand on your board. I have the Analogue Filter from them. It is basically the same thing only true bypass and mxr sized, and voiced for an older model, it does the Jerry thing very well and can go a step beyond. The guy from skreddy pedals made mine because he was helping unkle whatever at the time..anyways. I have always questioned if attenuators stole your mojo. I am sure a DR.Z one is probably better than most. I opted for the THD yellow jackets instead because of my doubts. I am happy with my choice, but still wonder what the attenuator thing is all about. I now have a 20 watt class A out of a 50w AB. It is basically a different weapon of choice, aiming at the same target, with the same goal in mind. At a recent gig a guy from a different band backstage was jammin on some sort of tweedish dr z amp. Man it sounded sweet. No pedals just an old tele plugged straight in. My Marshall and 4x12 have shown me the whole volume knob clean up thing well... but I gotta say that little combo owned it in a sweet way. I have never tried either of your amps but man they look tasty.Oh shit I am still typing...Man ok here it is... I have a kegerator in the garage. I constantly top off my beer. Tonight I am trying to kill off the last of the Labatt blue keg because I have a shiner bock keg waiting to be tapped. Im like jesus with the bread or something...this damn keg keeps on giving. ice cold nectar from the gods. Anyways the whole reason for my reply was to tell you I have a fender tuner, Stobostomp 1 &2, and the white boss pedal tuner... and for setting intonation I think the peterson cant be beat, but for gig quick ninja like tuning between songs I think that old fender tuner is the shit. Even though I am a bonified cork sniffing pedal head, I took the petersons off the board for the fender. Tone robbing and all. I may just be stoned everytime I play but Im telling you the leds on the fender tuner seem to be dimmer when I am getting close to intune , and then when all is right, I can see the full on glow. It is very quick and useful for me on stage. I also have had probably in the neighborhood of 15 different delay pedals and proudly sport a digitech...digidelay on my board. It just works perfect for my rig and stays out of my way somehow. I just keep going back to it. I have paid 5 times as much as it for other pedals and in the end it just works. Oh well man I am a rambling fool. nows the time the time is now, anyways I always like your posts bud and think of you as a genuine seeker of knowledge and tone. Your rig/rigs look great man. I hope you are taking the time to really enjoy the bounty upon you... peace

I think most guitar players never really know when they are done with G.A.S., unless the realization hits them in that split second when their life passes before their eyes as they die. The rest die still believing that one day they will get the _________ they've been gassin' for.
And, maybe they do get it. Maybe, that's what heaven is all about. Maybe, you get the gear you always gassed for but never got during this life. Maybe in heaven your band members are always cool, never show up drunk, remember the songs and play like you always dreamed they could. Maybe the soundmen really care, the acoustics are great, and the PA isn't hacked together. Maybe the gigs are packed with beautiful screaming fans that only want to hear what you want to play. Maybe... Oh wait, scratch that heaven stuff. I forgot we were talking about guitar players.
From CCW to about 10AM on the rate knob it is in Filter Matrix mode which allows you to manually go through a flange sweep for sort of a kocked-wah thing, Flange goes from mild to jet-type sweeps, and you have a nice Chorus under the hood too (which you can use on it's own, or in conjunction with the flange to make even richer textures). Set properly it will even do a half-decent univibe imitation in a pinch. True bypass, stereo outs, sounds great, won't break the bank... just a great pedal.
