Hey Everybody,

I know this isn't the most exciting topic in the world, but I'm trying to decide on a stereo volume pedal that will go 2nd in my signal chain right after a VHT Valvulator I. Pretty sure I'll need a low impedance version, since the object of the VHT is to convert the signal from high imp to low imp?

Have heard some negatives on my initial top 2 choices, so was looking for suggestions. The Ernie Ball Stereo/Pan apparently colors tone and the Boss FV300L might have some reliability issues. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi,

I've used 2 stereo volume and a few Mono;

I've played with a Boss FV-50H(they also got the L model for low imp) This one has the minimum volume knob and is smooth, thought it's made of plastic, that might be an issue to some but wasn't for me.

I'm currently using an Ibanez VL-10 Stereo volume panner, it's like the Boss FV-50 plus it can do panning... wich is what I mostly use it for now(I'd say 95% of the time) I pan between the dry and wet out of my whammy II with it.

I've also tried the Ernie Ball pedal, but this pedal just isn't for me and it's a Big monster(takes space)

On the mono side I tried DOD Vol/Wah pedal(sucks) and I still have a Morley Wah/Dist/Vol Pro Serie II but I don't really use it anymore and when I I used it mainkly for tuning in silent... has I found that it wasn't the most musical volume swell... but hey other Morley's volume are supposed to be way better i didn't expect a great vol out of a wah and distortion unit it's a swiss knife unit... one you use as a backup.

The Boss and the Ibanez have the smoothest swell I've heard... feels great to me and sounds great but it's plastic! If you're an heavy stomper and get carried away in a Live situation I'd reocmmend you stay away from those fro that, but if you're a carefull player consider them...

Hope this somehow helps you and let us know waht you end up with and why you choose it!!!

Goodrich makes the industry standard . All the Nashville guys use them . They are big though .
