I guess Morley made this pedal back in the late seventies. It features Echo, Chorus and Vibrato. It looks like a silver wah pedal. I have only seen one before and am looking for one to purchuse. Does anyone know anything about this pedal or any information on were I could get my hands on one?

It comes up periodically on ebay. You may want to check there.

Hi Hoover,

I got one of these when the re-issued them in the 90's. I think they made a limited run of 300 when they re-issued it. You can tell if it's a re-issue or not by the serial number I guess, since mine's serial number can confirm me exactly wich one of the 300 it is... If you'd like more details on the exact year of re-issue i could look it up when I'm at home and post the info here.

It's a nice pedal, if you liek analog delays it's a nice one, the vibrato is nice also(liek the treadle control) the chorus just don't cut it for me tho, but some people like it.

To get one, you could get lucky on harmonycentral ads or as mentioned above on ebay.

For more details feel free to ask, I'd gladly help as much as I can.

Dear Glorbz, Thanks for your reply. Is your pedal s stomp box or does it look more like a wah pedal? If it looks like a wah.. How exactly does it work?

Hoover,

yeah it does look like a wah, chrome. It has 2 footswitch on each side of the pedal, and it has 3 knobs... anyhow I got a copy of the manual and some pic online of this pedal on my webpage... here's the link;

If I remember right it was re-issued in 96, I'd have to check my serial number to confirm on this... since the serial gives out the year and the number of the limited run one has.

If you have any other question feel free to ask.

Dear Glorbz, One more question. When the pedal is on the delay effect, is the the wah looking pedal good for anything? In other words, is there any reason for the oversize looking wah pedal on a delay pedal. I am not sure if that makes sense, but do what you can with it...

Hey Glorbz, I actualy thought of a few more questions for you. With the Echo plus pedal, can you have echo and vibrato and chorus on at once or is it one or the other?
Also, do you know anything about the Echo Plus that came out in the seventies?
I am looking for a delay pedal, that I could do some crazy stuff with, does this seem like a good pedal for some interesting sounds?

Hi Hoover,

What the "wah" pedal controls when it's in echo/delay mode is the mix of your dry sound versus the wet(all echo) sound... so you can actually control how much of your tone without echo is heard.

To answer your second post, you can only use one at a time out of vibrato, chorus or delay.

For all I know the limited run of re-issue are exact replicas, of course you can expect it to have part number that are replacement to the original ones since some might have become discontinued parts, but still.

It's an interesting pedal if you're into psychadelic sounds... the only drawback I can see for it(like most analog echo) is that the delay time is limited to 300ms... wich might not be enough for all people...

For longer delays I use the Ibanez EM-5 Echomachine wich is now a sought after analog sounding digital pedal.

If you don't really need long echos and are into slapback, and some doubling sound, teh echos will satisfy you.

For the chorus and vibrato, the "wah" controls the actual speed of the effect... so you can adjust that on teh fly while playing to create weird effects, or in a more classic approach to fine tune to the speed of the song(wich can vary depending on the drummer, or the arenaline of a live performance)

Also a small detail, something that might be worth knowing, you don't have to remove any screws to change the 9v, the battery door is located under the pedal and its attached to the case and locks securely in place with a slide lock. It can also be powered with an external power supply.
