we auditioned a bassist yesterday who is perfect.great guy,really knows & digs what we are playing.we tried a stand up bassist which was perfect,but he wants to play psychobilly,which i like & would dig playing a couple of songs like that.just not the whole damn thing.so,with the bassist on board,we start the drum search.which means no more 64 champ! volume baby,volume! i've been chompin' @ the bit waiting to use my 18-38 watt amps.probably go with the 18 watters,& run 'em wide open! except for a few false starts,the first band in over 10 years.playing music i've been wanting to play for over 20! with fairley normal (for musicians), real nice, supportive people.yes,i'm happier then a pig in shit!

Congrats Twang!! I love that excited feeling you get when it's all starting to come together. I hope everything falls into place smoothly.

I've not been so lucky. Still trying to get my new band project off the ground. The drummer crapped out and haven't had any luck finding a new one. To top it off, the singer refuses to practice or write w/o one. Rookies.......

The champ doesnt get that loud? Sorry never have the pelase of playing one, but my Pro Junior can hold its own (even more so now, with higher head room tubes) with my drummer and still stay cleanish. Not that you should need any reason to get two amps and run them together =>

my champ is a 64 blackface.but it is only around 5 watts,though it is class a,& it only has a kendrick 8" in it.it sounds really nice,but it ain't going to hang w/a drummer.i could mike it,but it will be a lot more fun using my "proper" amps ! the pro junior is i think 15 watts,& is about the size amp i'll go with @ first...18 watts,or maybe 2 18 watters.
we'll see how that works,& if need be the 35-38 watters.that is the biggest i own,or could see needing anyway.i am very excited to finally play w/a drummer asap!
